Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
Click Society Online (“Click Society”, “we”, “us”) operates this browser-based photobooth. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to your camera, your photos, and your data when you use it.
In short: your camera feed and your photos never leave your device. Capturing, styling, and building your strip all happen inside your browser. We have no accounts, run no ads or trackers, and never upload or store your images on our servers.
01 Your camera
We ask for access to your device camera for one reason: to show you a live preview and let you take photos. We never request or access your microphone — audio is disabled entirely. The camera activates only after you grant permission and only on the capture screen. You can decline, and you can revoke access at any time through your browser or device settings.
02 Your photos
Every photo you capture or upload is processed entirely within your browser, using your own device. Your shots are drawn onto the template you chose locally, on your screen. We do not upload, transmit, collect, or store your photos on any server. When you download or print your finished strip, the file is generated on your device.
03 What’s stored on your device
To make the experience work, we save a small amount of information in your browser’s local storage — on your device, never on our servers:
- The template you selected
- Your in-progress photos, so they carry from the capture screen to the review screen
- Your countdown-timer preference
- Your language choice
This data stays on your device. Your in-progress photos are cleared when you retake or start a new session, and you can remove everything at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
04 What we don’t do
No accounts or sign-ups. No advertising. No analytics or tracking cookies. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or your images — because we never collect them in the first place.
05 Third-party services
This site is hosted on Netlify, and we load one small loading-animation script from the jsDelivr CDN. As with any website, these providers may automatically receive standard technical information your device sends when requesting files — such as your IP address and browser type. They do not receive your photos or your camera feed. For details, see the privacy policies of Netlify and jsDelivr.
06 Sharing your photos
Today, you keep your creation by downloading or printing it, which happens on your device. In the future we may add ways to share your strip directly — for example through your device’s native share menu or to a social platform. If and when you use a sharing feature, you choose the destination, and the image is sent to that third party under their own terms and privacy practices. Sharing is always your choice and never automatic, and we will update this policy before enabling any such feature.
07 Your choices & control
You’re in control. Decline or revoke camera permission whenever you like — you can still upload an image instead. Clear your saved preferences and in-progress photos by clearing your browser’s site data. Closing the tab ends your session.
08 Children’s privacy
Click Society is intended for a general audience. Because we don’t collect or store personal information or images on our servers, we don’t knowingly gather data from anyone, including children. If you are a minor, please use the app with a parent or guardian’s awareness.
09 Security
All traffic to and from this site is encrypted over HTTPS. Because your photos stay on your device, your own device is the most important safeguard — we recommend not capturing or sharing images you wouldn’t want others to see.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves — for instance, when we introduce sharing. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and any significant changes will be reflected on this page.
